Thematic group meetings of Lebanon stakeholders in March 2022

On the 17 March, Cool Up organised the first thematic group meetings in Lebanon with relevant stakeholders in the policy, technology, market and finance space. These meetings aimed to introduce the Cool Up project to the relevant stakeholders and capture their insights on the existing barriers and opportunities for upscaling sustainable cooling in Lebanon.

Side event at COP26 UN Climate Change Conference

The Cool Up team co-hosted a side event at COP26 on 4 November in the EU pavilion in Brussels entitled "Upscale energy efficiency financing – identifying and overcoming the investment gain." The event took place in Brussels and was streamed online.

The Cool Up team presented their approach to sustainable cooling at the MOP33 of the Montreal Protocol in a side event on 27 October. The virtual panel discussion with Cool Up experts addressed global efforts in the sustainable cooling space and how the Cool Up programme aims to support partner countries in the transition to sustainable cooling.

Cool Up presents at 77th Cairo Climate Talks

On 27 2021 July the Cool Up team presented in “The Heat is On: Climate Change and Heat Confirmation,” a webinar that was part of the Cairo Climate Talks (CCT). Green Cooling Summit 2021

The Cool Up programme joined the Green Cooling Initiative’s Green Cooling Summit (25 – 27 May), a virtual summit which addressed political and technical approaches to manage the HFC phase-down under the Kigali Amendment with natural refrigerants.
