Cool Up Week Jordan featured on Jordan TV

One week after concluding Cool Up Week Jordan, the visibility and momentum generated by the event continue to grow. Jordan TV, Jordan’s national TV channel, reported on the official launch of Jordan’s first National Cooling Action Plan (NCAP), highlighting the strong cooperation between the Ministry of Environment, the Cool Up programme and partner organisations across the region.

Cool Up’s Living Lab at the Aqaba Marine Reserve in Jordan

On Day 3 of Cool Up Week Jordan, the programme expanded from policy and technology discussions in Amman to a real-world demonstration in one of the country’s hottest and most environmentally sensitive regions: the Aqaba Marine Reserve. Participants examined R290-based air-conditioning technology designed to deliver high-performance cooling with minimal environmental impact, even under extreme temperatures.

Cool Up’s Living Lab at the Jordan Customs Department

Cool Up Week Jordan opened with a landmark achievement: the official launch of Jordan’s first National Cooling Strategy (NCS) and National Cooling Action Plan (NCAP). With over 100 participants from government, industry, finance, academia and international organisations, day 1 set a strong foundation for the week: high-level engagement, strategic dialogue and a shared commitment to coordinated long-term planning. The NCAP, developed under the leadership of the Ministry of Environment and supported by the Cool Up programme, establishes a pioneering national framework for advancing energy-efficient and climate-friendly cooling.
