The aim of this report is to look beyond the four Cool Up partner countries to show valuable insights and developments in sustainable cooling with a high-level perspective and broad geographic scope across the whole region. As this report is the first of a series of six Regional Cooling Status Reports, it is intended to set the scene, whereas future issues will focus on a particular aspect of sustainable cooling. MENA Europe Future Energy Dialogue (MEFED)

Join the Cool Up team at the MENA Europe Future Energy Dialogue (MEFED), 8-9 June in Jordan. MEFED aims at deepening the energy cooperation between the MENA region and Europe and is a leading forum for key stakeholders of the energy sector in both regions. The conference will give representatives across governments, industry, academia, and civil society the opportunity to share their experiences and ideas on a reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy system.

Thematic group meetings of Türkiye stakeholders in April 2022

On 26 and 27 April, Cool Up organised the second round of thematic group meetings in Türkiye with relevant stakeholders in the policy, technology, market, and finance spaces. The objectives of the online meetings were to collect feedback on proposed policy recommendations as well as share the experiences, challenges, and needs of stakeholders in realising the phase down of HFCs and transitioning to sustainable cooling technologies.

Thematic group meetings of Jordan stakeholders in March 2022

On 23 and 24 March, Cool Up held the second round of thematic group meetings in Jordan involving with relevant stakeholders in the policy, industry and finance spaces. Thematic group meetings of Lebanon stakeholders in March 2022

On the 17 March, Cool Up organised the first thematic group meetings in Lebanon with relevant stakeholders in the policy, technology, market and finance space. These meetings aimed to introduce the Cool Up project to the relevant stakeholders and capture their insights on the existing barriers and opportunities for upscaling sustainable cooling in Lebanon.
