As an important milestone in the lead-up to the 38th Meeting of the Parties (MOP38) and 10th Anniversary of the Kigali Amendment later this year, OEWG48 will review the latest scientific, technical, and policy developments supporting the implementation of the Montreal Protocol and the Kigali Amendment. Discussions will help shape future decisions on refrigerant transition, energy efficiency, monitoring, and sustainable cooling solutions.

During the meeting, Cool Up partners will engage with policymakers, National Ozone Units, technical experts, and development partners, while showcasing experiences and lessons learned from advancing sustainable cooling across the MENA Region and Türkiye. The programme will also contribute to discussions on how practical implementation, data, and evidence can accelerate the uptake of energy-efficient and climate-friendly cooling technologies.

The team looks forward to connecting with partners and stakeholders in Bangkok and contributing to the global dialogue on sustainable cooling and Kigali Amendment implementation.
