ATMO World Summit 2022
The Cool Up team attended the ATMO World Summit on 30 – 31 March. Cool Up hosted a webinar on 30 March at 13:00 CET entitled MENA Region in Focus: Insights from the New Cool Up Programme. The World Summit 2022 was a full day online event (24 hours) with on-the-hour webinars starting at 10:00 am March 30th in the Central European time zone, followed by the Americas and then Asia Pacific. The topic of the summit was The Future of Cooling and Heating in 2022 and was joined by a wide range of stakeholders with a focus on natural refrigerants.

A short introduction to the Cool Up programme explains the focus on the MENA region and sustainable cooling. A policy overview is provided on the HFC phase down under the Kigali Amendment and related policies in the partner countries. Market situation and market prospects for sustainable cooling are explored. The session closes with an outlook towards a series of publications on the region coming in spring 2022.
