Cool Up`s finance trainings enhance banking practices for sustainable cooling systems
Finance training in Jordan
Cool Up’s country partner, the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management MENA Office conducted a specialized training for banks in Jordan in December 2023, as a part of the Cool Up programme. The training enhanced participants’ knowledge on sustainable cooling and addressed the important intersection of finance and environmental strategies, contributing to the broader goals of Cool Up in fostering sustainable cooling practices in Jordan.
The training covered following key topics:
- The Ministry of Environment`s commitments related to the Montreal Protocol and Kigali Amendment
- Sustainable cooling technologies and the role of natural refrigerants
- Strategies for financing sustainable cooling technologies in Jordan
- Jordan’s development of National Cooling Strategy and National Cooling Action Plan, with a specific focus on Finance Strategic Interventions
