Technical Consultancy for the Cooling Sector – Development of Occupational Standards and Curriculum for Residential Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technicians in Jordan
The Cool Up programme has published a new Terms of Reference (TOR) inviting proposals for the development of occupational standards and a competency-based curriculum for the profession of “Residential Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems Technician – Level 2” in Jordan.
This assignment supports Cool Up’s mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable cooling in the MENA region. In collaboration with the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) and its National Energy Research Centre (NERC), the selected service provider will lead the development of national standards and training materials that integrate the safe use of natural refrigerants such as R290, CO₂, and ammonia.
The consultancy will include the facilitation of occupational analysis workshops, drafting and validation of standards in line with AQAC methodology, and the creation of a full training curriculum. The outcome will be a nationally accredited training programme that equips technicians with the skills needed for climate-friendly cooling technologies.
