Thematic Group Meetings are organized by the Cool Up programme as national workshops to share project results with stakeholders from different sectors and provide opportunities for cross-learning and knowledge sharing.
Thematic Group Meeting Jordan – Policy, Finance and Industry Group
On 21 March 2023, Cool Up hosted its Thematic Group Meeting moderated by the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) in Amman, Jordan as a hybrid event.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the pilot projects, the work plan for 2023, and the significance of accrediting professional certificates for workers in the cooling sector, especially when using natural refrigerants.
The participants highlighted the importance of collaboration and coordination among all relevant stakeholders in the sustainable refrigeration and air conditioning field. They also emphasized the need for a National Cooling Action Plan that promotes energy-efficient equipment and environmentally friendly refrigerants, which are crucial in achieving sustainable development in Jordan.
Additionally, the stakeholders provided valuable feedback on the project outcomes, including published studies. The Cool Up team will take this feedback into account while planning future project activities.
