National Cooling Action Plan measures discussed with Jordan's Ministry of Environment and key stakeholders

On 2 July 2024, Cool Up's country partner in Jordan, the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), conducted a National Cooling Action Plan Interim Meeting in Amman. The event brought together key stakeholders from policy, industry, finance, and academia to discuss proposed measures, initial modelling results, and future scenarios for the NCAP.

Policy training in Türkiye: Over 70 representatives of ministries trained on heat pumps

Cool Up`s country partner in Türkiye, UNDP Türkiye, organized a Cool Up policy training focusing on the usage of heat pumps in sustainable cooling solutions on 3 May 2024.  Totally 70 officials from various divisions of Türkiye's Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Industry, and the Ministry of Energy, along with related public institutions, participated in the training.

Thematic group meeting in Lebanon: Facilitating cross-sectoral dialogue

The Cool Up programme organised a thematic group meeting in Beirut  hosted by Cool Up's country partner the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC) with key stakeholders from various sectors, including policy, finance and industry. The meeting aimed to provide a platform for cross-sectoral knowledge exchange and to discuss Cool Up’s support in integrating cooling-related measures into Lebanon’s 3rd National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP) for 2024-2030.
